I Reflect...

In a few hours, the year 2009 will come to an end. During times like this when our loved ones come home and families get a chance to be truly together, sentimental mood swings brings back fond memories of the years gone by.

In the past year, some may have lost their loved ones while some may have found a new love. Some may have prospered while some went broke. Some may be happy memories and some sad, but all the same, the joy in the realization of just simply being healthy and alive is enough. The wise thing to do is to keep the happy ones and discard the sad ones. Though it is easier said than done, for human beings never really forget, we should learn to move on with our lives and not remain static.

A new year always bring new hope and new resolutions to destroy. Hahaha! I am never one to make resolutions but I have always hung on to the belief that each new year will be better than the previous one. It is the only way to carry on living happily year after year. Because there is always hope.

On a personal level, my life has changed much and I am very happy with the change. As it is, I start appreciating what little things others will do for me. I am learning to live a stress free life by managing my time very well, by spending my money for good reasons, and by just having fun! I no longer dream of having a fancy car or a big house by the sea! NO! NO! But I dream of having an elegant limousine or 100 floor skyscraper in the city. I surpassed my limitations and dare to explore the borderless universe.

Plodding along the rocky and uneven road of my life, I stumbled many times along the way, due to all the wrong decisions that I did. It was much later that I found good souls who was willing to show me the true way and I feel blessed and thankful to them.

In reflecting the year gone by, I would say I have gained more than I have lost. Me and my whole family have been blessed with good life for the past year.

For the coming year, I hope everyone in the family, friends and close ones stay healthy and happy. Hope there would be no calamities in the world. Hope there will be no war. Hope that I can still be blogging for the entire next year.

With that, I am signing out on this 31st day of December on the eve of New Year, Two Thousand and Nine.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Top 10 Unforgettable Moments for 2009

As we arrive at one of the holiest night, it's interesting to look back at the unforgettable moments we experienced throughout the year. Somehow, it helps me feel that I did not waste a year with the frivolous activities. So let’s begin:

Padre Noval Street

10. Street Trouble

Damn, I want to forget this experience... At around 11 in the evening ,I was walking in the street of P. Noval, I was shocked when a stupid and ass hole guy approached me and start pointing his gun right in to my tummy asking for my cell phone and wallet. God! I was scared to death during that moment! I know this is a bad moment for this year but it is still unforgettable! Hahaha.

Birds eye view of our hospital

9. A Hospital for us...

Okay. I won’t forget those sleepless nights and stressful days with my group mates when we are working that 25-Bed Hospital. One day, we found ourselves in need of medication...of our own Hospital. Hahaha!

Unexpected flood in front of our building.

8. Rain, Rain Go Away! Flood, Flood Go Away!

It was last September when the typhoon Ondoy brought catastrophe in our country. Millions of people including me were affected. During that time, I’m inside the house praying that the rain would stop soon (although I am the one of those praying for this rain) But no! The rain continuously poured the country nonstop…………. Hey Bellamy, I think we need to evacuate our things up to the second floor.

7. Rearranging my stuffs

After the first semester and before going home, I rearrange and clean my things in my room. My bed, closet, table, etc. are in their perfect place! Thanks to my talent in Interior designing I was able to place them in the right place.

Chicken Pox

6. Menu for the Semestral Break: Chicken POX

A year won’t be complete without a certain illness, and yes this year did not fail me. During my semestral vacation, I was encumbered by this illness called Chicken Pox. At first, I thought it was just an ordinary insect bite at my back, but few days later things became more serious… My body suffered from severe itchiness and those little poxes just continue to multiply! God! Thanks I’m ok now…

5. Peak of Career

Hell yeah! After hundreds of successful battles, I finally learned how to become a versatile player in DOTA. From ganker to starter, from killer to supporter, from nuker to spammer, name it! I can perform in any positions with 100% skills, 100% concentration and 100% power of will. Hahaha.

Bonifacio High Streets

4. Strip Mall

It was my first time when we went to Bonifacio High Streets for some site visit and research as well. The place was totally amazing! Modern and eye catchy architectural design can be seen throughout the place. Thank you guys! I had fun! It was an unforgettable day!

Say Cheese!

3. Trip to Laguna

I always thought those field trips are just for kids. Well this year, I went on one; it was a compulsory for my subject history so I really need to come. During that time, I experienced excitement! I had a wonderful time with my classmates especially in the bus! Hahaha. Field Trip lang! Walang Personalan!

Microcadd - SM Annex

2. Summer Lessons

It was my summer vacation when my Mom and Dad told me to enroll in MicroCad. They want me to learn AutoCad because I can use it especially in my course; it’s like an advance study. I totally disagree because its vacation! All I want to do is to rest and have fun! Anyway, I enrolled and found myself enjoying!

That’s my Dad!

1. Welcome Home!

After a year in abroad, my Dad went back home to have a vacation. We are so happy that time because we really missed him! WE LOVE YOU DAD!

So that’s it! The numbers has run out! I hope you enjoyed reading my Top 10 unforgettable moments for this year. To tell you the truth, I had a hard time recalling and picking those because there are more moments I want to share… Well, that’s for now!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First Assignment: Accomplished

Yo guys! Please help me!
I have an assignment to be accomplished this Christmas vacation?
Would you help me?
Great!

Do you know what's the true meaning of Christmas? Now let me get this right of the bat (correct me if I'm wrong), I love to give and get gifts and I love the lights and the Christmas music. But I think something huge is lost if we don't take time to reflect on the true meaning of the season and teach it to others especially the kids.

Some kids grow up to think that Santa Claus is the hero of Christmas. He is a fun, mythical figure representing love and giving. That’s ok. But he is not what Christmas is all about.

When I was young my Mom told me that Christmas is the birth of Jesus. I always ask her who is Jesus? how old is he now? why does everybody celebrates his birthday? well because I'm just a little innocent kid that time, I couldn't understand what my mom is explaining.. So today, I'm here to find the answers..

We can trace the tradition of gift giving during Christmas on the first Christmas itself, where the three kings offered gifts to Jesus Christ. So if we try to look at it, somehow, it serves as a symbolism. I really see nothing wrong about it. Actually it’s a good thing because we learn how to share our blessings to others. But let’s not put in our mind that Christmas is just about gift giving. Happiness cannot always be obtained through material things. Most of the time, it would be the presence of our family, relatives, friends, etc.

I believe that the true meaning of Christmas is different for everyone. For some it means spending the Christmas season with family and friends, remembering the birth of Christ, reliving old traditions, or giving service to those in need. But of course, for me the true meaning of CHRISTmas is Christ.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
